About G-NETS

In 2022, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government launched the Global City Network for Sustainability (G-NETS)—a collaborative forum uniting the world’s leading cities to solve pressing urban challenges. Profiting from members’ international perspectives, each year the G-NETS network brings together mayors/governors, senior officials, and working-level staff from around the globe to proactively exchange insights and skills, spark collaboration, and drive real change. G-NETS is more than a discussion platform—it’s a catalyst for action. Through dynamic dialogue and innovative approaches, it aims to strengthen intercity connections and pioneer solutions from diverse perspectives that pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future. Be part of the movement. Together, let’s shape cities that thrive, connect, and lead the world toward lasting progress.
