Leaders Summit

The biannual Leaders Summit brings together mayors, governors, and city leaders. Each leader presents their city’s policies, outlooks for the future, and more. The summit reaffirms the commitment of global cities to work together in addressing urban challenges, culminating in the announcement of a joint Communiqué to share the outcomes with the world.

Senior Officials Meeting

The Senior Officials Meeting is vital in strengthening relationships among senior officials and allowing for best practices to be shared. Additionally, it serves to facilitate discussions on shaping and consolidating the Communiqué for the Leaders Summit and review progress on joint projects’ initiatives.

Working-Level Staff Meeting

At the working-level staff meeting, working groups established by agreement at the 2023 Leaders Summit meet online to exchange insights on key priority issues in cities and share knowledge on cutting-edge solutions and best practices.

Joint Projects

As part of its working groups, G-NETS implements the following joint projects:

  • Mutual site visits and online exchanges to facilitate technical collaboration and explore latest solutions
  • Collaborations with startups to tackle urban challenges
  • Operation of the G-NETS Communication Platform to facilitate open dialogue among participating cities
