G-NETS Held Working Group Meetings

G-NETS working group held online thematic meetings between September and October 2025 and an online plenary meeting in November 2025. 

In the thematic meetings, working-level staffs from 37 cities participated. The meetings focused on three key topics: “Energy Saving & Renewable Energy in Public Transportation,” “Disaster Management in Coastal Areas,” and “Utilizing Startups to Solve Urban Challenges.” Officials presented the challenges faced by their cities and specific initiatives being undertaken to address them, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise among the cities.

In the plenary meeting, working-level officials from 22 cities participated. As activities of the Resilience Sub-Working Group, the meeting included an overview of the results of a survey on climate and disaster resilience, an introduction to Tokyo’s natural disaster countermeasures (the TOKYO Resilience Project), and an exchange of views on these topics.
