Leaders from 55 cities across five continents came together under the theme “A New Urban Future built on Climate and Disaster Resilience.” They engaged in discussions and shared insights and best practices from their diverse urban initiatives. The outcomes of these discussions were compiled into a joint statement (communiqué), and as a new initiative, each participating city announced concrete actions and targets to strengthen resilience, to be shared with the world.
